Payment & Policies

Payment & Refunds Policy
1. Our $160 + GST fee is for the entire course. We operate by delivering full courses divided by levels of performance. The course fee doesn't get broken down by classes.
2. Your spot in class is only guaranteed by payment.
3. We do not prorate classes or give discounts. No couples discounts are offered either. We offer the most competitive prices in the entire Lower Mainland.
4. Each student is responsible for attending classes. We won't offer compensation or discounts for missing classes. However, we have a system in place that allows you to catch up and even get more practice. Read about our Umbrella Pass.
5. Refunds, compensation, or credits are only issued in the case of personal tragedy (death, a broken leg, severe illness, etc) keeping you from completing your course.
The (Amazing) Umbrella Pass
Registration in any of our courses allows you to attend another class your same level or below, anywhere in town. For example, if you sign up for an Improver course in Mount Pleasant, you can simultaneously take any other Improver course class taking place anywhere else in town, and a Beginners course, too.
With this initiative, we encourage you to learn better and faster, taking classes at a more ideal pace, while meeting more dancing friends. Everywhere you attend classes, you'll be benefiting from the same efficient methodology, dedication and love. We particularly encourage LEADS to use the Pass. We hope you take advantage of it!
It's an awesome system but there are, however, some rules and exceptions:
- attendance to classes other than your "official" course is subject to capacity. You'll have to notify the instructor in charge, reasonably in advance, before showing up. Showing up to another class unexpectedly can lead to refusal of entry.
- the Umbrella Pass does not include the Just Rueda de Casino course. It doesn't apply to Bachata courses either. The Pass is to enhance your learning of Cuban Casino as a social dancer.
- this is a system created primarily for providing extra practising and opportunities for catching up if you've missed a class. However, If you have a very irregular schedule that keeps you from committing to a class, our advice is to take private lessons instead. In other words, do not plan of joining a course based on a fragmenting your participation across the different classes of our school.
Why We Don't Accept One-Time Trials
Sometimes we have people inquiring about taking a trial class before committing to a course. While this might make sense from the perspective of maximising time and money, the reality of it is truly deceiving. We don't allow one-time trials because they don't really work for the type of dance we teach.
Only the completion of a 6-week program can tell you whether this is a good fit for you or not, because you'll benefit from weekly reviewing the content taught to you in previous classes. Sometimes we don't catch things at first, and that's where reviewing becomes helpful. Dancing is like that! Also, in each class we'll be requesting your feet to move differently. If you try the first class and you find yourself struggling a little bit, you can't just give up because of that. Maybe you'll excel in the second class, when something different is asked from you, and where reviewing helps you perform better.
Quitting after a single trial, besides being a type of attitude we don't encourage, also doesn't allow yourself a fair chance at realising your potential.
